Launchpad: life and health sciences, Northern Ireland
Summary:
UK-registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £4.3 million for projects that grow their innovation activities in the life and health sciences cluster in Northern Ireland.
Eligibility criteria:
This competition is open to single applicants and collaborations.
For single applicants to lead a project, your business must:
- be a UK-registered micro, small or medium-sized enterprise (SME)
- intend to exploit the project outcomes from the UK for domestic or global benefit
For collaborations to lead a project, your business must:
- be or involve at least one grant-claiming micro, small or medium-sized enterprise (SME)
- collaborate with other UK-registered organisations
- have a demonstrable ambition for business growth

This competition aims to support outstanding innovation projects led by businesses. Your business must use the funding to grow your innovation activities in the life and health sciences cluster in Northern Ireland both during and after your project.
This competition is split into two strands:
- Launchpad: life and health sciences, Northern Ireland, Round 2 De minimis or Minimal Financial Assistance: (£25k-£100k funding per project, single applicants only)
- Launchpad: life and health sciences, Northern Ireland, Round 2 Collaborative Research and Development: (£150k-£1m funding per project, must be collaborative)
