Department for Business and Trade offer free courses for Northern Ireland exporters

Business owners and entrepreneurs across Northern Ireland can receive tailored support to boost their exporting skills and sell their goods and services to new markets worldwide.

Export Academy modules, which are delivered online and free of charge, are open to all Northern Ireland businesses regardless of their size or stage of exporting journey, to ensure that as many businesses as possible can learn from experts in international trade and successfully sell around the world.

What is the UK Export Academy?

The UK Export Academy from the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) gives businesses the know-how to sell to customers around the world by learning from experts in international trade.

It is open to any business in the UK that has a product or service that can be sold internationally. It is for businesses who know that they want to reach international customers and contracts in the future, as well as those who might already be selling beyond the UK and want to expand into new markets.

The UK Export Academy is delivered in various stages depending on your skill level. These include essentials modules, masterclasses, market events and sector-specific masterclasses.

DBT in Northern Ireland

DBT has established a trade and investment hub in Belfast that aims to bring more investment, jobs and export opportunities into Northern Ireland. The centre works with businesses of all sizes in Northern Ireland to help them to succeed in the global marketplace through a support framework which includes the expansion of DBT’s UK Export Academy to businesses across Northern Ireland for the first time.
