Apply now: DSbD Technology Access Programme
Get support and funding to experiment with prototype cyber security technology
Digital Catapult is inviting applications for a new cohort of its Digital Security by Design (DSbD) Technology Access Programme. The programme offers businesses the opportunity to use advanced technology to improve the security of their products.
Participants get access to two evaluation boards: the Sonata board from lowRISC and the Morello board from Arm. These boards feature cutting-edge CPU architectures designed to enhance security.
By joining the programme, businesses can experiment with these technologies to identify and fix security vulnerabilities in their own products. They'll receive the necessary hardware, along with access to the CHERI software stack, technical guides, and expert support.
When fully mature and market-ready, these technologies can open up new markets for 'cyber secure by design' products, providing a competitive advantage to companies already familiar with them.
This five-month programme has two tiers: Tier 1 for UK companies with fewer than 250 employees, and Tier 2 for those with more than 250 employees.
Participating businesses will get a chance to:
- test cutting-edge technology to stay ahead
- build unique expertise and maintain competitiveness
- improve products by identifying cyber security vulnerabilities
- join a community of cyber security pioneers
- receive a £15,000 grant (Tier 1 companies only)
- access expert support from lowRISC, Arm, the University of Cambridge, and Digital Catapult
Who should apply?
The programme is open to UK-based businesses that embrace innovation and seek commercial applications for new technologies.
Businesses with a strong focus on cyber security and active R&D are encouraged to apply, especially those in industries like IT, software, industrial automation, hardware, CPU semiconductors, energy, automotive, telecoms, and connected electronics. Applicants must be registered with Companies House and have a business bank account.
The deadline for applications is 22 September 2024.
