Opportunity for employers seeking new tech skills for their business

Belfast City Council is preparing to run a fourth cohort of its Technology Academy and is looking for businesses in the council area to partner with them.

Participating businesses will get the opportunity to:

• develop the curriculum
• offer work placements to the Academy participants
• guarantee to interview participants for jobs at the end of the programme

Academy applicants undergo an aptitude assessment looking at suitability for technology roles, and then complete full-time training over a period of 14-16 weeks through a blend of classroom-based and on-the-job learning.

The results of the first Academy, which ran from June 2022 to September 2022, showed an almost 100% employment rate for participants at the end of the programme.
