British Council International Collaboration Grants
Funding is available for global arts collaborations
The British Council has reopened applications for their International Collaboration Grants programme. This £1 million programme supports the creation of new cultural collaborations between UK artists, arts professionals, art organisations and global peers.
Grants of between £25,000 and £75,000 are available to organisations from the UK and other eligible countries/territories.
The grants aim to:
- support artists to make and develop creative artwork
- create new and deepen existing partnerships in a creative space
- help artists find innovative ways of working
Who can apply
These grants are not for individual artists, sole traders or freelancers.
Grants will be awarded to organisations (including consortia, community-based and artist-led), with funders looking for applications that identify specific individual artists for inclusion in the project.
Each project should have a minimum of two partners and include at least one UK-based organisation and one organisation based in another eligible country.
Applications must demonstrate genuine international collaboration, with an explicit benefit to individual artists and international partners.
Successful projects are expected to start from September 2024 and run for one year. Projects can address any subject, theme or outcome, but they must be an arts or culture project.
How to apply
You can access a package of resources from the British Council to help you with your application.
The deadline for applications is 11:59pm on 30 April 2024.
