Founder Labs – Accelerating Innovation Programme
Applications open for the next round of the Founder Labs programme
This six-month accelerator, funded by Invest Northern Ireland, is designed to support early-stage, innovation-driven enterprises (IDEs) in Northern Ireland. Its goal is to empower high-potential startups with the resources and mentorship needed to achieve rapid growth and success.
What support is available?
Participants will receive £25,000 in grant funding and gain access to:
- workshops
- mentorship
- pitching opportunities
- shared workspaces
- international study visits
Additionally, the programme offers up to £500,000 in credits from select technology partners.
Who can apply?
Founder Labs is perfect for technology-based startups with ambitious, transformative ideas that can achieve the following by year three of trading:
- over £1 million in revenue or funding
- 60% of sales from outside Northern Ireland
- external investment
The start date for the programme is 18 November 2024 and to be considered, you must be based in Northern Ireland when the cohort begins. You also must be working full time on your start-up (or have the intention to go full time on successful acceptance to the programme).
The application deadline to join Founder Labs is 6 October 2024.

Founder Labs is delivered by Ormeau Labs in partnership with Dogpatch Labs, Queen's University Belfast and The AMP. The programme is funded by Invest Northern Ireland and New Deal Entrepreneurship Funding.
