ICO consultation on generative AI and data protection
Share your views to help inform ICO's regulatory position
The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has launched its fifth and final consultation on data protection in the generative AI supply chain.
This consultation focuses on assigning accountability to stakeholders involved in AI development, use, and distribution, especially in AI as a Service (AIaaS) contexts.
Given the complexity of AI systems, where multiple organisations share responsibility, the ICO seeks industry feedback to shape future guidelines and regulations, ensuring all parties can effectively meet their data protection obligations.
