Innovate UK Diverse Innovators Award

With cash awards and bespoke business support, this initiative aims to uncover diverse hidden talent around the UK

Innovate UK has launched the Diverse Innovators Award - their biggest, most ambitious EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) programme to date.

The programme has been designed to support pioneering entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds by offering cash awards and bespoke business support, including coaching and mentoring from Innovate UK EDGE.

The programme offers two levels of support designed to cover different stages of a business journey.

Begin support

This is for diverse innovators with an innovative early-stage business, or those ready to turn their ideas into a business. Applicants could win tailored support and mentoring, and £15,000 made up of a £5,000 grant and £10,000 living allowance.

Build support

This is for diverse innovators with an established business. It is an opportunity to win £50,000 of funding and a tailored support package to help you grow your business.

Applications for Innovate UK Diverse Innovators Award open on 10 July 2023. The deadline for applications is 11am on 6 September 2023.
