Public liability insurance for tourist businesses
Guide
Whilst it's not a legal requirement, the public liability insurance may cover your business from the risk of being sued by a member of the public in the event of an accident.
Such insurance covers any awards of damages given to a member of the public because of an injury or damage to them or their property caused by you or your business.
For example, it may cover financial damages and legal expenses resulting from accidental bodily injury or damage to property which has been caused by you, your employees, or at your premises.
